Without an official announcement, Club Fuel has closed. More details to come soon.
We believe this closure comes in part to the pressure HYNCA and our residents put on the City of Tampa and the club owners. We want to thank everyone who has been and will continue to keep pressure on nightclubs that are not "good neighbors." Ybor residents will not tolerate nightclubs and clients that negatively impact the environment in our neighborhood.

From Tom K.:
Hi,
Some of you may already have seen the posted sign at the corner of 20th and 8th Ave where the Sheriff has applied to the Barrio Latino Commission for a permanent street closure of 20th Street.
I know that there are many of you who strongly object to any closure at all as it clearly interferes with Ybor’s street patterns and the historic grid system of our streets and roads. Clearly, putting up barricades or closing streets is not conducive to the preservation of the historic character of Ybor and it also interferes with the unimpeded movement of all people living, working or visiting Ybor.
I urge you to attend this hearing which is scheduled for December 18th at 9:00 am at the City Council Chambers, 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, 3rd Floor, Tampa, Florida 33602.
Cheers,
Thomas C. Knueppel

It’s that time of the year again. Here is a unique idea for a holiday present (courtesy of the YCDC)
Looking for a unique gift for the holidays?
Consider having a historic Ybor City sidewalk paver engraved with your personal message or memory.
For an application, please contact the Ybor City Development Corporation at (813) 274-7936 or visit us on the web at www.TampaGov.net/YCDC.
To ensure paver completion by Christmas, please submit your application to the Ybor City Development Corporation by December 1, 2007. If ordered after December 1, 2007, a gift certificate for the paver will be issued in the gift recipient’s name.
Happy holidays from Ybor City Development Corporation.
