YCDC Community Meeting: IMPORTANT!

What would you like the YCDC to do with your tax dollars for the 2007-2008 budget year? This Wednesday, January 31st is your chance to tell them!

  • Where: The Italian Club 1731 East 7th Avenue
  • When: Wednesday, January 31, 2007 5:30 p.m.

Here are some of the YCDC’s highlights of 2006.

  • Improved the environment and safety through the Ybor Task Force’s enforcement of City codes.
  • Discontinued weekend closure of 7th Ave, 40% reduction in crime from prior year, created a new permit process, enforcement for queuing lines & sidewalk cafes, reduced illegal signs & pamphleteering.
  • Initiated marketing and public relations programs including billboards, radio, e-newsletter, print ads, web portal  development folders and a brochure on Ybor City.
  • Implemented TIF & Non_TIF funded capital improvements: Centennial
Park Master Plan, East 7th Ave. Streetscape Plan, Opening of East Ybor Park, Design for replacement of 16th St. public restrooms, conceptual design for future parking capacity, stormwater improvements, maintenance and replacement of streetscape amenities.
  • Reauthorized the Transportation Impact Fee Waiver and fee reduction for 3 years.

Remember, your opinion can significantly impact the budget planning for this year.  We urge all the neighbors to let their voice be heard!
