At our last neighborhood meeting, we were joined by Maryanne Hunsberger and other members of the TPD who provided information on forming a neighborhood watch, the reasons for having one, and how it works. Since then, the HYNCA Board has officially formed the Historic Ybor Neighborhood Watch. We are convinced that having a neighborhood watch improves the quality of life in our area, providing a reliable vehicle for communicating important crime information to all of our neighbors. In addition, a neighborhood watch sends a clear message to criminals who think about visiting the District: “You are not welcome here!”.

Jose Garboza has volunteered to be our Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, and our liason with the TPD. If you would like to become involved there are plenty of opportunities: please email Tony at alacolla@hynca.com
